The word comes from the Greek:

While one industry sells you products on hype with claims they can't verify, another industry develops treatments you can't afford or understand. And traditional healing — the kind my great-grandmother practiced in Honduras — gets dismissed entirely because no one funded the clinical trial.  
Meanwhile, people are sick. They're frustrated. They're paying for test after test and leaving every appointment with more questions than answers.  
I built MeLi MeThoDS because I saw the potential while I was still inside the system. I spent 10 years as a scientist in the pharmaceutical industry quality-releasing over 97 million pharmaceutical products. I know what rigorous science looks like.

I also know that rigorous science doesn't belong to the companies that can afford it.‍

We reviewed his full biochemical picture, identified a potential medication contributor, and sent our findings to his doctor.
